Episode 1: The Magic World – Walkthrough

Starting in the Cabin

  1. Take the ritual knife and potion recipe from the chimney above the fireplace.
  2. Pick up the broom near the chest on the right.
  3. Use the broom to get a simple key from the top-right corner of the room.
  4. Retrieve a ruby from the mask’s eye.
  5. Use the ritual knife to cut down a rope hanging above the table near the window.
  6. Pick up a handle from the floor left of the trapdoor.
  7. Collect the decorative key with orbs near the chest.
  8. Examine the window by the table. Collect a doll (left) and a key with engravings (right, under paper). Read the paper to learn how to use magical ink and the book to teleport.
  9. Grab the candle from the bench in the front-left corner.
  10. Take the final ornate key from inside the fireplace.
  11. Open the trapdoor using all keys in this order (left to right): ornate key, engraved key, key with orbs, simple key. Click them to unlock the hatch and descend.

Basement Area – Tool Assembly and Resources

  1. Collect an axe head. In inventory, combine it with the handle, then use the ritual knife to shape it. Now you have a working axe.
  2. Chop firewood using the axe.
  3. Pick up feathers above the stump.
  4. Collect berries.
  5. Click on all owls to get the color sequence: R-R-Y-Y-R-Y-Y-R (Red = R, Yellow = Y).
  6. Move to the next area by clicking the river.

River Area – Ritual Prep

  1. Take the arrow from the totem.
  2. Pick up an empty kettle near the tree.
  3. Grab a crank handle near the rock.
  4. Use the axe to cut the tree and create a path to the ritual site.
  5. Insert the ruby into the totem’s right eye. Enter the owl color sequence to receive a crystal.
  6. Use the ritual knife to cut the lily.
  7. At the ritual site, ignite the doll and candle in the fire.
  8. Use the burning doll to scare the snake and retrieve a gem.

Back to the Well

  1. Cut birch bark using the ritual knife.
  2. Attach the handle to the well, hang the kettle, and use the crank to lower and raise it. Collect a key and kettle filled with water.

Cabin – Brewing Magic Potion

  1. Add firewood to the fireplace and light it with the candle. Hang the kettle over the fire.
  2. Solve the chest puzzle using the gem to unlock it. Inside, collect netting and a stick.
    • In inventory, combine the stick, rope, arrow, and feathers to create a bow.
  3. Return to the river.

Back at the River – More Collection

  1. Shoot the apple off the tree using the bow. Retrieve both the apple and bow.
  2. Use the net in the water near the fallen tree to pull out a chest. Clean it with the ritual knife, collect seaweed, and open it with the key to get a bottle.

Brewing the Magic Potion

  1. Using the potion recipe, add the ingredients in the cauldron:
    • Mushrooms, berries, lily, seaweed
  2. When the liquid turns pink, dip the apple into it to get a magic apple.
  3. Insert the crystal into the window to reflect a beam onto the table.
  4. Place the bottle on the stand; the light reveals the magical world inside it.
  5. Click the bottle while holding the magic apple to shrink and enter.

Inside the Bottle – The Tiny World

  1. Use the axe on the web to break it. The axe breaks; collect the handle.
  2. Use the ritual knife on the bow to get the rope.
  3. Examine the beetle and break off its jaw. Attach the handle, then the rope, to get a sharp tool.
  4. Cut the remaining web with the tool and collect the cocoon.
  5. Solve the beetle puzzle behind the web to receive a golden scoop and instructions for the Flower of Insight.
  6. Use the scoop to dig up the flower bulb.
  7. Give the cocoon to the mantis and receive a seal.
  8. Use the clue from the stone behind the mantis to solve the altar puzzle.

Altar and Flower of Insight

  1. Press the mechanisms around the altar in this order: top-left, bottom-right, bottom-left, top-right.
  2. Use the golden scoop to dig a hole in the ashes, plant the bulb, and wait for the flower to bloom.
  3. Collect the Flower of Insight.

Ink Ingredient Collection & Magic Book Activation

  1. Back in the cabin, use the seal on the book. Collect the ink recipe, amulet, and key.
  2. Use the key to open the cabinet above the scales and retrieve three jars.
  3. Hang the ink recipe next to the scales to see what you need.

Collecting Ink Ingredients

  1. Return to the bottle world.
  2. Collect pollen from flower buds using a jar.
  3. Collect dew from orchids with another jar.
  4. Cut the orchid stem and collect its sap in the third jar.

Return to the cabin and place ingredients near the scales.

  4. Use the feather to write in the book—describe the hero’s house.
  5. Click the magical glow to complete Episode 1.
